Atom Heart Mother

09 Mar

The title may be vague, but I think it is somehow apt for me to comment on my mother’s first non-arthroscopic knee surgery. Her previous knee surgery greatly reduced her pain of walking, and the hope is that this second will allow her to be more mobile.

As a chiropractor, I am very cautious with surgery, so what may seem mundane to a surgeon is definitely a new experience for this family. Fortunately we have not had any hopsitalizations, but there is always a chance for catastrophe when one goes under the knife. Love you Mom and I know everything will turn out roses.

For those interested, the term Atom Heart Mother was used for Pink Floyd’s fifth studio album and was used to describe a newspaper entry Roger Waters saw telling of a woman who had been implanted with a nuclear pacemaker.
